Toyon Hall is an upperclassman dormitory at Stanford University designed in 1923 by the San Francisco firm Bakewell and Brown in Romanesque and Mediterranean Revival style. Originally built to house 150 men, the residence hall was renovated in summer 2000 by Cody Anderson Wasney Architects Inc. for seismic reinforcement and systems modernization, and now accommodates 158 residents in a co-ed arrangement across three floors, with most rooms configured as two-room doubles. The hall features a spacious lounge that hosts campus events including a capella performances and lectures. Residents once organized their own eating clubs, but these were discontinued in 2009; dining now takes place in the adjacent Arrillaga Family Dining Commons.
