Trellick Tower is a Grade II* listed Brutalist tower block completed in 1972 on the Cheltenham Estate in Kensal Town, London, designed by architect Ernő Goldfinger for the Greater London Council. Built in reinforced concrete, it was conceived as an improvement upon Goldfinger's earlier Balfron Tower and marked his final major project, incorporating space-saving designs and a separate access tower containing plant facilities. Initially plagued by crime and vandalism during the 1980s, the building's fortunes improved following the establishment of a residents' association and enhanced security measures. By the 1990s it had become a desirable mixed-tenure residence. The tower's distinctive concrete facade has been preserved through its Grade II* listing since 1998, and its robust structure limited damage during a 2017 fire. It has become a local landmark and appeared in various films and television productions.
