Turning Torso is a neo-futurist residential skyscraper designed by Spanish architect and sculptor Santiago Calatrava, rising 190 meters above Malmö, Sweden, on the Öresund strait. Completed in 2005 and owned by Swedish housing cooperative HSB, this 54-story tower contains 147 apartments and exemplifies high-tech, postmodern, and deconstructivist architectural principles through its distinctive twisted form. The building was the tallest in the Nordic region until 2022 and ranks as the world's second twisted skyscraper. It received the 2005 Gold Emporis Skyscraper Award and the 10 Year Award from the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat in 2015.
