The Ulysses S. Grant Home in Galena, Illinois, is a Renaissance Revival residence designed by William Dennison and built in 1859–1860. Originally constructed as a private dwelling, the house was presented to Ulysses S. Grant by grateful Galena residents in 1865 following his celebrated service as a general in the Civil War. Grant would later become the 18th president of the United States.
