The United Congregational Church in Newport, Rhode Island, is a Romanesque Revival structure designed by architect Joseph C. Wells and completed in 1857. The building's historical significance rests largely on its interior decorations, executed in 1880–81 by the celebrated artist John La Farge, whose distinctive work earned the church designation as a National Historic Landmark in 2012. The congregation was formerly affiliated with the United Church of Christ and has also been known as the First Congregational Church, Second Congregational Church, and Newport Congregational Church.
