The United States Post Office in Hollywood, Los Angeles, an active facility located at 1615 Wilcox Avenue between Sunset and Hollywood Boulevards, exemplifies Art Deco design as conceived by architect Claud Wilbur Beelman and completed in 1937. The building's streamlined modernist aesthetic, characteristic of the Art Deco style, reflects the optimistic architectural spirit of the Depression era. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, it remains both a functioning post office and a notable example of early twentieth-century civic architecture in one of Los Angeles's most prominent neighborhoods.
