Located in Attica, Wyoming County, New York, the United States Post Office is a Colonial Revival brick structure built between 1936 and 1937 as a Works Progress Administration project. Designed by Louis A. Simon of the Office of the Supervising Architect of the Treasury Department, the one-story building sits on a stone water table and exemplifies the austere elegance characteristic of Depression-era federal architecture. The interior features a 1938 mural by Thomas Donnelly titled *Fall in the Genesee Country*, adding cultural distinction to this modest civic structure. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988, the post office remains one of several New York State post offices designed under Simon's direction during this formative period.
