This Colonial Revival post office in Penn Yan, Yates County, New York, was designed by James Knox Taylor of the Office of the Supervising Architect of the Treasury Department and constructed in 1912–1913. The symmetrically massed building rises 1½ stories in red brick above a granite-clad raised basement, exemplifying the restrained government architecture of the early twentieth century. It stands as a contributing element within the Penn Yan Historic District and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.
