United Overseas Bank Plaza is a late-modernist commercial complex designed by Kenzō Tange at Raffles Place in Singapore and opened in 1995. The development consists of two towers: UOB Plaza One, which at completion ranked among the three tallest buildings in Singapore (alongside OUB Centre and Republic Plaza, though it has since been superseded by Tanjong Pagar Centre), and the older UOB Plaza Two, originally completed in 1973 and renovated in 1995 with a facade matching its newer counterpart. The two towers are connected by a 45-meter podium supported by four columns, which houses the banking hall of United Overseas Bank's main branch. The complex was opened on 6 August 1995 by Senior Minister Lee Kuan Yew, marking sixty years since UOB's founding. Tange had been commissioned to undertake several large-scale projects in Singapore during the 1980s, including the adjacent OUB Centre.
