The Vanity Ballroom Building is an Art Deco commercial structure completed in 1929 in Detroit's Jefferson-Chalmers Historic Business District, designed by architect Charles N. Agree. Located at 1024 Newport Street at Jefferson Avenue, the building represents a remnant of Detroit's vibrant dance hall era, when it hosted big bands during the 1930s through 1950s. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982, it survives as a notably intact example of the city's ballroom venues from that period.
