The Detroit Athletic Club, completed in 1915, is a Renaissance Revival clubhouse designed by architect Albert Kahn and situated in Detroit's theater and entertainment district across from the historic Music Hall. Inspired by Rome's Palazzo Farnese, the building serves as a private social and athletic club offering full-service athletic facilities, pools, restaurants, ballrooms, and guest rooms to its membership of business professionals and professional athletes. The structure maintains reciprocal agreements with private clubs worldwide and is prominently visible from Comerica Park beyond center field.
