The W. H. Langley House stands near Elm City in Wilson County, North Carolina. Originally built around 1865 as a modest three-bay, single-story dwelling with exterior end chimneys, the house was substantially enlarged and remodeled in the Colonial Revival style in 1911. The transformation resulted in a 2½-story, five-bay frame structure with a steeply pitched gable roof, rear kitchen ell, complex wraparound porch, projecting pedimented pavilions, and Palladian windows set into the gable ends. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.
