The W.H. Tedford House, built in 1887 in Corydon, Iowa, is a vernacular Italianate residence commissioned by W.H. Tedford, a local attorney who later served as a justice of the district court from 1891 to 1901. The house exemplifies late nineteenth-century Italianate design through its defining architectural details: a bracketed cornice, large window hoods, and an elaborate wooden porch of particular distinction. A low, crested hipped roof crowns the structure. After Tedford's death in 1917, the house passed to Eugene E. Poston and remained with that family well into the twentieth century. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.
