The Walter Abbs House is a Queen Anne style residence designed by the architectural firm Tourtellotte & Co. and built in Boise, Idaho, in 1903. This five-room house stands within the Fort Street Historic District and reflects the domestic architecture of early twentieth-century Boise. The home belongs to Walter J. Abbs, who arrived in the city in 1901 and co-founded the firm McGrew & Abbs, engaged in abstract research, mortgage lending, and insurance. After his business was acquired by Boise Title and Trust Co. in 1906, Abbs served as general manager and secretary of the consolidated firm, while also investing in local real estate development, notably the Abbs Subdivision. The house was recognized as a contributing property to the Fort Street Historic District in 1982 and individually listed on the National Register of Historic Places the same year.
