Situated at 1019 Chicago Avenue in Oak Park, Illinois, the Robert P. Parker House is a Queen Anne–style residence designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in 1892, representing an early example of his domestic work. The house was originally built by real-estate agent Thomas H. Gale and subsequently sold to Robert P. Parker the same year. Notably, Wright designed the residence while employed by the prestigious firm Adler & Sullivan, taking on the commission independently despite architect Louis Sullivan's prohibition against outside work. The house is recognized as a contributing property to a federally registered historic district and appears on the National Register of Historic Places.
