Washington Place is a Greek Revival palace built in 1847 in Honolulu's Hawaii Capital Historic District. The building holds significant historical importance as the site where Queen Liliʻuokalani was arrested during the overthrow of the Hawaiian Kingdom. Following this pivotal moment, it served as the official residence of Hawaii's governors. Designated a National Historic Landmark in 2007, Washington Place remains on the National Register of Historic Places. A modern governor's residence, constructed in 2008, now stands on the same grounds behind the historic palace.
