The Royal Hawaiian Hotel, a beachfront luxury property in Waikiki, Honolulu, opened in 1927 as one of the first hotels established in the district. Designed by the architectural firm Warren and Wetmore in Mediterranean Revival style with Spanish and Moorish influences, the hotel is instantly recognizable by its striking bright pink concrete stucco façade. Its prominent location on the wide sandy beach, combined with its distinctive coloring and ornamentation, earned it the nickname "The Pink Palace of the Pacific." Over the decades, the Royal Hawaiian has established itself as one of the most luxurious and famous hotels in Hawaiian tourism, hosting numerous celebrities and world dignitaries. Today it operates as part of Marriott International's Luxury Collection brand.
