The Water Board Building, a 23-story office tower in downtown Detroit, was completed in 1928 to serve the city's public water administration. Designed by architect Louis Kamper, the structure exemplifies the Art Deco style with a sophisticated palette of materials—granite, limestone, marble, and terra cotta—that enhance its verticality and geometric ornamentation characteristic of the era.
