Located in Webster City, Iowa, this Beaux-Arts post office was designed by James Knox Taylor, the U.S. Treasury's supervising architect, and completed by contractor Charles E. Atkinson in 1909. The stone structure replaced earlier post offices housed in rented storefronts along Seneca Street. Characteristic of its style, the building features a decorative stone frieze and cornice beneath a mansard roof. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.
