Whale Oil Row comprises four contiguous Greek Revival residences at 105–119 Huntington Street in New London, Connecticut, built between 1835 and 1845 for developer Ezra Chappel by architect Charles Henry Boebe. These similar, high-quality houses embody the architectural ambitions and mercantile prosperity of New London's whaling-era elite, their unified presence on the streetscape a testament to the wealth that the maritime industry generated in the nineteenth-century port. The district was recognized by the National Register of Historic Places in 1970.
