Wiener Neustadt Hauptbahnhof, located south of Vienna in Lower Austria, is the busiest railway station in the state, serving over 700 trains and 25,000 passengers daily. A modern structure rebuilt entirely between 1997 and 2003, it functions as a major junction on the South railway and the Aspangbahn, with connections to branch lines serving Gutenstein, Payerbach, Mattersburg, Pottendorf-Landegg, and Vienna's S-Bahn main line to Floridsdorf. All trains on the Südbahn and its originating branch lines stop here, and the station also serves as the primary hub for the city's bus network. An Österreichische Post branch operates directly within the station building.
