The William H. Hull House, located at 1517 Walnut Street in Murphysboro, Illinois, is a Renaissance Revival residence built in 1887 for William H. Hull, a prominent local businessman and politician. The house exemplifies asymmetrical Italianate design, with a distinctive three-sided projecting bay crowned by a half-hipped roof and a side entrance sheltered by a porch supported by chamfered columns adorned with decorative brackets. The cornice features patterned molding punctuated by ornamental brackets, while the roof displays a cross-hipped configuration with flared eaves. Added to the National Register of Historic Places on February 1, 2006, the house remains a notable example of late-nineteenth-century domestic architecture in southern Illinois.
