The William Prentiss House in Arlington, Massachusetts, is a Greek Revival residence built around 1860 by the architectural firm Gay & Proctor. Rising 2½ stories with a side gable roof punctuated by a large shed-roof dormer, the house exemplifies mid-nineteenth-century residential design in the Arlington Heights neighborhood. Its centered entrance is sheltered by a modern vestibule, while a twentieth-century porch extends along the left side. Originally owned by William Prentiss, a local farmer, the house stands as the sole example of its type in the Arlington Heights area, though similar structures were erected in East Arlington during the same period. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985, it ranks among the oldest houses in the neighborhood.
