The Williams Products Corporation Factory, a historic industrial building erected in 1957 in Luquillo, Puerto Rico, exemplifies the island's mid-twentieth-century industrialization efforts. Designed by René O. Ramírez, one of Puerto Rico's pioneering modernist architects, the plant follows Prototype L, one of several standardized designs promoted by the Puerto Rico Development Corporation to attract manufacturing investment. The rectangular structure, which sits on a 6,170-square-meter lot alongside Road PR-992, combines steel, concrete, and cement masonry units beneath an A-frame supported by concrete beams and columns—a configuration that embodies the principles of the Modern Movement. The facility, which underwent two expansions, stands amongst comparable prototype buildings in a nearby industrial park. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2012.
