The Wintergartenhochhaus is a 32-story residential tower in Leipzig-Mitte's Ostvorstadt district, designed by Horst Siegel and completed in 1972. Rising 106.8 meters, it was the tallest residential building in East Germany at the time of its completion and remains the third tallest high-rise in Leipzig. A landmark of modern architecture and an important document of East German building history, the structure is now protected as a cultural heritage site (Kulturdenkmal) for its rarity value and testimony to postwar modernism.
