Woolwich Town Hall, an early 20th-century civic building in the centre of Woolwich, South East London, exemplifies the Edwardian Baroque style that rarely appears among London's town halls. Originally constructed as the seat of the Metropolitan Borough of Woolwich's local government, it assumed wider administrative responsibilities in 1965 when it became the headquarters of the Greenwich London Borough Council. The Grade II*-listed structure, situated in the historic Bathway Quarter, also serves as the register office for the borough, combining its architectural distinction with ongoing civic function.
