Designed by Norman Foster and completed in 2002, City Hall stood as the headquarters of the Greater London Authority on the south bank of the River Thames near Tower Bridge in London's Bermondsey district. This 45-meter-high structure exemplified high-tech architecture and occupied a prominent position within the More London development. The building served the GLA for nearly two decades until the authority relocated in December 2021, after which the site—owned by the State of Kuwait since 2013—entered a phase of reconstruction and redevelopment.
