Located at 30 Wyman Street in Worcester, Massachusetts, the Worcester Corset Company Factory is a Romanesque Revival structure whose oldest section was erected in 1895, with subsequent expansions continuing through 1909. Designed by architect Arthur F. Gray, the factory served the corset manufacturing enterprise that evolved from David Hale Fanning's 1861 business producing hoops for skirts. The company's shift to corset production proved remarkably successful, eventually employing over 2,000 women and establishing Fanning as one of Worcester's leading industrialists. Following the company's closure in 1940, the facility was repurposed for military boot manufacturing. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984 and has since been converted into an apartment complex.
