Located in Waterloo, Iowa, the YMCA Building is a three-story brick structure designed by local architect Mortimer Cleveland and his associate D.B. Toenjes. Built in 1930 to replace an earlier 1893 facility as the city's YMCA membership expanded, the building exemplifies modern architecture with decorative Art Deco elements. Its ground level originally housed commercial storefronts, while a 1959 western addition accommodated adult activities. The YMCA relocated to a new facility in 1982, after which the building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983 and subsequently converted into office space.
