The Zeynep Sultan Mosque, located in the Fatih district of Istanbul, was constructed in 1769 by the Ottoman architect Mehmet Tahir Ağa, who also designed the Ayazma Mosque. Built as a commission for Zeynep Sultan, daughter of Ahmed III, the structure exemplifies Ottoman architectural tradition while drawing evident inspiration from Byzantine churches in both its stylistic approach and the materials employed in its construction.
