A postmodern skyscraper designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox and completed in early 2019, 55 Hudson Yards stands 238 meters tall in Manhattan's Hudson Yards neighborhood, just outside the primary redevelopment zone. Originally known as One Hudson Yards or One Hudson Boulevard, the building occupies a site with notable prior uses: it replaced the Copacabana nightclub (which operated from 2001 to 2007) and a FedEx World Service Center. Together with 50 Hudson Yards, the structure contributes approximately 4 million square feet of space to the wider Hudson Yards development, despite its location outside the official redevelopment boundary. First tenants began occupying the building by April 2019, and it sits directly above a 34th Street subway entrance on Hudson Park and Boulevard.
