The Albert Kiene House is a Second Empire residence located in Davenport, Iowa, built in 1881 for Albert Kiene, an employee of the Ferdinand Haak Company, a local cigar manufacturer. Unusual for its style, the single-story brick structure features a steeply pitched Mansard roof with prominent gabled dormers, a three-bay symmetrical front elevation, and a projecting entrance pavilion embellished with a small Eastlake porch. The double-door main entrance is crowned with a transom window. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984, the house remains a notable example of Second Empire domestic architecture in the region, particularly distinguished by its distinctive low-profile massing paired with the characteristic high roof of the style.
