The William Gabbert House, located on the east side of Davenport, Iowa, is one of the last surviving Gothic Revival residences in the city. Built with characteristic verticality, the house features a steeply pitched cross-gabled roof punctuated by a small wall dormer, chamfered window corners, and diamond-shaped windows on both the dormer and gable ends. A Colonial Revival porch, added in the 1890s, somewhat diminishes the Gothic character of the original structure. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places since 1983, the house stands as a reminder of Davenport's nineteenth-century architectural heritage.
