The American Center is a 27-story high-rise tower in Southfield, Michigan, designed by SmithGroup and completed in 1975 as the corporate headquarters for American Motors Corporation (AMC). Located at the interchange of Interstate 696, M-10, and US 24, the building underwent significant upgrades in 2001. Following Chrysler Corporation's acquisition of AMC in 1987, the tower changed hands multiple times and has been owned and managed by Redico, a Southfield-based real estate developer, since 2017.
