Landmark 72, a mixed-use supertall skyscraper in Hanoi's Nam Từ Liêm district, rises 350 meters across 72 stories and anchors a complex that also includes 48-story twin apartment towers. Developed by South Korean company Keangnam Enterprises with over US$1 billion in investment, the tower opened in May 2012 and contains a 5-star InterContinental hotel, office space, retail areas, convention centers, and clinics across a total floor area of 609,673 square meters—ranking it among the world's largest single buildings by floor area. The landmark has become a cultural fixture, hosting Vietnam's premier stair-climbing race, the Landmark 72 Hanoi Vertical Run, which challenges competitors to ascend the tower's 1,914 steps.
