Aon Center is a 62-story Modernist office tower at 707 Wilshire Boulevard in downtown Los Angeles, completed in 1973 and designed by architect Charles Luckman. Rising 262 meters (858 feet), the rectangular bronze-clad building with white trim stands out for its remarkable slenderness, an especially notable achievement in Los Angeles's seismically active region. The tower serves as the anchor office for the Aon Corporation, whose logo appears in red at the structure's crown. At the time of its completion, it ranked as the third tallest building in Los Angeles and remains among the city's most distinctive modern landmarks.
