Barnsdall Art Park is an urban park in the East Hollywood neighborhood of Los Angeles, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and completed in 1927. Situated at the crest of Olive Hill, the park was donated to the city by Aline Barnsdall for arts and recreational purposes, and overlooks both the Hollywood Hills and Griffith Park. The park centers on Hollyhock House, Wright's iconic residence and a designated city and national landmark as well as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Today managed by the City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs with support from the Barnsdall Art Park Foundation, the park is itself recognized as a Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument and preserves both the historic architecture and landscape features Barnsdall intended.
