The Edward R. Hills House at 313 Forest Avenue in Oak Park, Illinois, is a residence notable for architect Frank Lloyd Wright's 1906 remodel in his signature Prairie style. Originally a late 19th-century Stick style structure, the house was moved and essentially rebuilt during Wright's redesign, merging elements of both Prairie aesthetics and Wright's experimental 1890s work. The property has undergone substantial transformation since: alterations between 1912 and 1965 obscured aspects of Wright's original vision, a major fire in 1976 necessitated reconstruction and partial restoration, and subsequent work by subsequent owners and architects further modified the design. Today the house reflects the contributions of at least four different architects across its history. Listed as a contributing property to a federal historic district on the National Register of Historic Places and designated a local Oak Park Landmark, it remains a private residence occasionally opened for special tours.
