The Belmonte Flats comprise two connected apartment buildings located at the intersection of 43rd Street and King Drive in Chicago's Grand Boulevard neighborhood. Designed by the firm Patton & Fisher, the taller structure was completed in 1893, followed by its companion building in 1896, both serving as luxury residences for the area's affluent residents during the period. The ensemble showcases Chicago school design infused with Queen Anne and Richardsonian Romanesque stylistic elements, featuring brick exteriors with limestone bases and terra cotta cornices; the earlier building is distinguished by a corner turret. The interiors display the hallmarks of high-end residential design with ornamental moldings, decorative brackets, and a mosaic tile lobby floor. The buildings were recognized on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998.
