The Bodrum Mosque in Istanbul's Fatih district is a former Eastern Orthodox church, originally known as the Myrelaion, that was converted into a mosque by the Ottomans following their conquest. Built in the early tenth century from brick, the structure exemplifies the architectural transition between Byzantine and Ottoman periods, combining elements of both traditions. Named after Mesih Paşa, its converter, the building stands as a protected cultural property and testament to the religious and architectural transformations that shaped medieval and post-medieval Istanbul.
