The Bremerhaven Lighthouse, also known as the Simon Loschen Tower, stands as the rear light of a pair of leading lights at the New Harbour in Bremerhaven, Germany. Built in 1855 from brick and rising 37 meters high, it is the oldest operative lighthouse on the mainland along Germany's North Sea coast and ranks among the city's most recognizable landmarks. Protected as a cultural heritage monument in the state of Bremen, the structure continues to serve its original navigational function while embodying mid-nineteenth-century German maritime engineering.
