Opened in May 1996 on the waterfront of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, the Tenerife International Centre for Trade Fairs and Congresses is a multipurpose venue designed by Santiago Calatrava. Covering more than 40,000 square meters, the complex features a Great Hall on its top floor spanning 12,000 square meters—the largest covered space in the Canary Islands at the time. Strategically positioned near the Parque Marítimo César Manrique, the Auditorio de Tenerife, and the Palmetum, it serves as headquarters for the World Trade Center Tenerife and has hosted an expansive range of events including trade shows, exhibitions, conferences, concerts, and cultural festivals since its completion.
