Located at 1 Moorgate Place in the City of London, Chartered Accountants' Hall is the headquarters of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales and stands as one of the finest examples of late Victorian architecture in the Square Mile. Designed by John Belcher—with some sources crediting a collaborative role by Arthur Beresford Pite—the Grade II* listed building inaugurated Belcher's turn toward a monumental Baroque Revival idiom, informed by his study of European Baroque precedents. Constructed of Portland limestone, the Hall is celebrated for its rich sculptural integration and established Belcher's architectural reputation, though the precise division of creative responsibility between the two designers remains historically unresolved.
