Chester City Hall and Opera House, built in 1890–1891 in Chester, South Carolina, is a Romanesque Revival brick structure that has served as the town's administrative center since its completion. The façade displays three distinct sections: a prominent four-story tower, a gabled three-story central section, and a more restrained three-story wing. A devastating fire in 1929 destroyed the original spire tower with its four-faced clock, prompting interior renovations. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.
