Christ Church in Oyster Bay, New York, is an Episcopal parish founded in 1705 whose current structure reflects multiple periods of construction and renovation. The building visible today originates from the 1870s, when a Carpenter Gothic style church was erected on the site. In 1925 the structure was dramatically enlarged and encased in stone, a transformation that also introduced striking stained glass windows. The church gained national prominence as the parish of President Theodore Roosevelt, whose funeral service was held here in 1919. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2018, Christ Church remains a significant landmark on the Oyster Bay History Walk.
