City Point, formerly known as Oyster Point, is a historic district in New Haven, Connecticut's Hill Neighborhood, occupying a 26-acre area south of Interstate 95 in the southwestern portion of the city. Originally a narrow peninsula extending into New Haven Harbor at the mouth of the West River, the district was significantly altered by landfill operations that broadened its shores and the later construction of the interstate highway. The Oyster Point Historic District encompasses a collection of relatively old buildings rendered in Byzantine Revival architecture and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
