Dinegro is a Genoa Metro station located beneath Via Milano in the Fassolo district, designed by renowned architect Renzo Piano and opened on 13 June 1990. Situated at a shallow depth of approximately five metres below ground level, the station is accessible by a single flight of stairs and adjoins Piazza Dinegro, from which it takes its name. The station sits just east of San Benigno's business district and near the city's ferry terminal, with convenient bus and trolleybus connections at street level. The area derives its designation from the nearby Villa Di Negro Rosazza dello Scoglietto, a 16th-century aristocratic residence built for the distinguished Di Negro family of the Republic of Genoa.
