Dolmabahçe Palace is a 19th-century imperial palace located in Beşiktaş, Istanbul, on the European shore of the Bosporus. Built beginning in 1823 and designed by architects Nigoğayos Balyan and Garabet Amira Balyan, it blends Ottoman architecture with Rococo, Neoclassical, and Baroque styles. The palace served as the main administrative center of the Ottoman Empire during two periods: from 1853 to 1887 and again from 1909 to 1922, making it a crucial seat of power during the empire's later centuries.
