The Duncan Rule House is a historic Shingle Style residence in Mason City, Iowa, designed by local builder E.R. Bogardus for attorney Duncan Rule. This 2½-story frame structure is distinguished by prominent open gables on its north and south elevations—a rare feature among Iowa's Shingle Style houses. The composition includes a semi-circular bay on the main floor with an asymmetrically positioned veranda, and a Palladian window in the attic. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979, it represents a notable example of late-nineteenth-century domestic architecture in the region.
