Built in 1896 in Pasadena, California, this two-story Shingle style house exemplifies the picturesque residential architecture of the late nineteenth century. The wood-frame structure features an irregular plan dominated by a cross gabled roof with projecting gable ends on the second story, adorned with curved, shingled brackets. Shingled columns support a porch beneath the north gable, while the exterior walls are entirely shingled—including wave-patterned shingles on the gable ends, a characteristic Queen Anne detail. Curved, shingled hoods crown the front-facing windows and those of the southern gable end. The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2004.
